How to Create Your Own Dog Mask – The Fundamentals

For those who have a dog that likes to bark, and especially if your dog loves to play in the backyard and other regions of the home, you will need to get them some particular dog protection.

All you’ve got to do is take a cardboard cutting board and cut the cardboard into the shape of your mask. You can’t just cut a rectangular shape out of the cardboard, so you’ll have to cut around the edge of the mask so you get something which resembles a cone. Then you’ll need to wrap the cardboard around the edges of the paper plate, making certain there is a good seal between the two pieces so that you can ensure that nothing will leak when you place the mask on. Glue it on! The next step involves using some paint. You should spray the paint over the cardboard, making sure that it runs smoothly and evenly across the whole mask. You’ll want to start with one side of the mask , so that you can work your way around it before moving onto the other side. The paint needs to be slightly thicker than the cardboard, and it’s best that you leave about one-fifth of an inch of paint on the edges so that it runs over the cardboard.

Don’t worry too much about the paint getting stuck to your mask. It’s easy to remove it later, and it will leave you with a wonderful finished mask to show off to everybody! It’s also a good idea to wipe away any excess paint after you’re done, so that you don’t end up with smudges or smears on your dog.

Then it’s time to glue the mask onto your dog’s head. First you will need to make sure that you have a secure fit between the mask and your dog’s head. Once you’ve made sure that it is secure, then you may start to glue the mask on the dog’s face. Take the piece of cardboard that is used for the foundation of the mask and then fold it over. Be sure that it’s quite strong and then use your hands to secure the cardboard down in place.

Keep your hands out of the way and use tape to hold it in place as you repeat the process on the cardboard folds until you have the mask snugged firmly onto the face of your dog. Don’t make the folds too large or else it might look messy. Once you’ve done this, you can then take out the mask and then attach the cardboard ears. And attach the other area of the mask onto the dog. Be sure the ears are flat and make sure that it’s not too short or long as this can cause some problems with the mask slipping off the dog’s face.

If you are using a dog mask as your pet security, you will have to do some sanding to be sure that it’s secure on your dog. You can accomplish it by sanding off any excess paper that may have been removed from your mask.
